Lace MOQ, Lab Dips and Lead Times: What to Expect When Sourcing Lace from Guangdong Mills

Most of the world’s fine machine-made lace comes out of the mill cluster in Guangdong. Buying from it directly gets you mill pricing — and a six-week lead time, a container-load minimum and a language barrier at every step. Here is how the numbers work when you buy the same lace through us, with stock held at our own China warehouse and a showroom in Ho Chi Minh City where you can see and select in person.

Step 1 — Swatches (free, 48 hours)

Tell us the look, the base fabric and the end use. We send up to five swatches free within 48 hours anywhere in Vietnam; overseas by courier at cost. If you already have a style code from our materials index, quote it and we price it the same working day.

Step 2 — Bulk samples (1–3 metres)

Before committing, order a one-to-three-metre cut for fit and wash testing. It is charged at cost and credited against your first bulk order. This is the step that catches shrinkage, dye migration and stretch problems before they reach the line.

Step 3 — Colour

Most nylon and nylon-cotton bases are dyeable. Send a Pantone reference or a physical swatch; the lab dip comes back in 7–10 days. Approve it, and production starts. Custom dyeing is 300 metres per colour minimum — that is one dye lot. Stocked grounds (black, white, nude, and the colours on each product page) cut from 30 metres.

Step 4 — Inspection and deductions

Every roll is checked for width, hand-feel and visible defects before it leaves the warehouse. Faults are marked on the roll and deducted from the metres you pay for — not hidden in the middle of the roll. Ask any supplier how they handle faults; the answer tells you a lot.

What we will not do

  • Quote a price we cannot hold.
  • Promise a delivery date the mill has not confirmed.
  • Hide a fault in the middle of a roll.
